At Pennwood Cyber Charter School, we believe there are many paths to success and strive to prepare our students with the skills, experiences, and connections they need with college prep, early career readiness offerings and beyond.
Here students have the opportunity to:
Establish connections and begin developing a professional network through our industry partnerships—all before graduation.
Engage in meaningful experiences and make valuable connections through our partnerships with leading companies and organizations like Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies, Coursera, Credly, and Home Depot Path to Pro.
Hear from Pearson's Head of Career Solutions, Lorna Bryant, about how we prepare students for future career paths through partnerships with organizations like Coursera, Home Depot Path to Pro, and more!
All Pennwood students take part in in a three-week Connections Term (“C-Term”) in March, in addition to the standard 180 school days. This session helps build a school culture that emphasize the importance of career education and work standards. Partnering with Drexel University's Goodwin College of Professional Studies, high school students who are on track for graduation will participate in project-based learning, while students in grades K-8, will complete a career and college preparation course based on the Pennsylvania Career Education and Work Standards. All students will undergo test preparation during the session. When necessary, students may focus on remediation or credit recovery during this term.
Through our partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection, our students, families and teachers will have direct access to additional counseling, mental health support, and professional development.
